Google Sheets Integration

Arigato Automation offers several Actions that allow Merchants to send data to Google Sheets.

Configuring the Integration

  1. From within the app, in the left sidebar, click Integrations
  2. Locate the Google Sheets integration and click Enable.
  3. On the Google Sheets integration page, click Sign in with Google.
  4. On the Google sign in page, follow the on screen prompts.
  5. Google will redirect back to the app when the connection is finalized.

Credit Costs

All Google Sheets Actions cost 1 credit on Lite plans and are unlimited on Unlimited plans.

Limitations

Arigato only supports using 1 Google account for all Google Sheets actions. Share spreadsheets with the account connected to Arigato to allow the app to access Sheets owned by other users in your Google organization.

Arigato does not currently include the option to read data from a Google Sheet.

Troubleshooting

Slow Inserts
Google's Sheet's API is known to be very slow, especially with large data sets. Slow responses from Google can result in failed inserts as the Google API can hang for minutes without response. Less data per Sheet can help this issue. Consider switching to the Airtable integration if performance becomes an issue.

Google Sheet's authorization token can expire unexpectedly. There is no known time limit or reason for the expiration. When this happens (generally after many months) the error will appear in app log messages invalid_grant when an error description of bad request. To fix the problem:

  1. From within the app, in the left sidebar, click Integrations.
  2. Locate the Gmail integration and click Disable.
  3. Follow steps 3-5 in the Configuring the Integration section above.
