Customer Action: Update customer SMS consent

The Update customer SMS consent Action in Arigato Automation for Shopify enables merchants to update a customer's consent status for SMS marketing. This can be helpful when complying with privacy laws and marketing consent regulations.

Configuring the Action

Field Name Description Example
Opt In Level Defines the process through which the customer consented to receive SMS marketing. Options are:
  • Confirmed Opt In: The customer is required to take an additional step for confirmation after signing up.
  • Single Opt In: The customer is directly subscribed to SMS marketing post-signup, without any confirmation steps.
  • Unknown: The consent method for the customer is not documented.
Single Opt In
Marketing State Specifies the current marketing consent status for SMS.
  • Subscribed: The customer has agreed to receive marketing SMS.
  • Unsubscribed: The customer has opted out of receiving marketing SMS.

Credit Cost

Using the Update customer SMS consent Action uses one action credit on Lite plans. There is no credit cost for those on the Unlimited plan.
